Meet the Photographer

Hi friends, thanks for coming along!

First, let’s start with something you probably already DO know about me: I am a family photographer serving the San Jose and SF Peninsula region of the San Francisco Bay Area.

And now here’s 10 fun facts about me that you might not know:

1. Originally from Tennessee, I knew I wanted to get out and travel to see the world. I moved abroad at 23 years old without knowing a soul in my new country, and it totally changed my life!

2. I love kids, including teenagers! I taught middle and high school science in the US and abroad.

3. I’ve been teaching Pilates for over a decade!

4. I met my husband in ALBANIA! (Where is Albania, you might be wondering? It’s the tiny country next to Greece and Macedonia!)

5. After we lived for two years together in Albania, we took 9 months to backpack through Southeast Asia. It was the grandest adventure of my lifetime. We explored the ruins of Angkor Wat, did yoga in Bali, fed elephants in Chiang Rai… oh yeah, burned through tons of our savings. :)

6. I do Martial Arts! I love Krav Maga, kickboxing, and jiutjitsu. I think it is empowering and a great workout!

7. I am also a harpist, which not many people know about me because its kind of difficult to travel and move around with a big 6 foot harp!

8. I am also a yoga teacher and certified personal trainer.

9. We’ve fostered dogs 6 times through Copper’s Dream Rescue!

10. For me, photography is SO much more than just clicking the shutter button. Photography is my art. That is what drives and motivates me. Photography is one of the most invaluable, priceless investments you will ever make, because it will comprise your legacy. No matter how old your family gets, it is a treasured gift for decades to come. I deeply believe in the power of a photograph.
