And even though the days may feel long, the year will fly be SO quickly. The powerful journey of pregnancy soon becomes the life-changing journey of baby’s first year. We photographed this beautiful maternity session at the end of summer, about 75 minutes before sunset. We chose a beautiful outdoor space in Menlo Park which was soaked in gorgeous summer lighting. Is there anything on earth more beautiful than the promise of a new life, deeply loved and prayed for? My heart just loves photographing maternity sessions, especially with a couple just like this! Seeing their love and excited anticipation is such a treasure. I am honored to have the privilege of photographing this milestone before they undertake such a grand adventure with their new baby.

This beautiful gallery celebrates the growing life of a proud and excited couple soon to welcome their baby son into the world. Maternity sessions are best photographed around 30-32 weeks. Her gorgeous red dress accentuates her growing belly and highlights her sweet baby bump. I love this rich, bold color. You can opt for a figure-hugging dress or a flowing dress, but I do recommend long maternity dresses over short maternity dresses. It is also best to opt for a single color, or small subtle patterns, when choosing an outfit. Skip the bold, big, or vibrant patterns for another day.
