This sweet Sunnyvale Newborn Lifestyle Session took place about a week after Baby L was born, but baby lifestyle sessions can be photographed for even several months after the little one’s arrival! Baby L was a perfect muse for this sessions and had two sweet parents and a watchful and loving older sister.
If you love golden hills and warm, sun-drenched light in your family photos, then Fall in California is the best time of year to capture that! This beautiful location in Palo Alto involves a short walk up to the top of the hill to see rolling grasses surrounding you on all sides. This is a beautiful location in the winter too when the grasses are green!

Is there anything on earth more beautiful than the promise of a new life, deeply loved and prayed for? My heart just loves photographing maternity sessions, especially with a couple just like this! Seeing their love and excited anticipation is such a treasure. I am honored to have the privilege of photographing this milestone before they undertake such a grand adventure with their new baby.
This beautiful gallery celebrates the growing life of a proud and excited couple soon to welcome their baby son into the world. Maternity sessions are best photographed around 30-32 weeks. Her gorgeous red dress accentuates her growing belly and highlights her sweet baby bump. I love this rich, bold color. You can opt for a figure-hugging dress or a flowing dress, but I do recommend long maternity dresses over short maternity dresses. It is also best to opt for a single color, or small subtle patterns, when choosing an outfit. Skip the bold, big, or vibrant patterns for another day.

One of my favorite things about being a family photographer is that I get to witness and capture beautiful couples in their new roles as parents. These sweet parents were so obviously dedicated and loving to each other, and seemed so effortless in their role as new parents to this sweet baby boy. Sometimes I am lucky enough to meet a family so good and wholesome and fun that the world just seems like a brighter place. This family is definitely like that for me. It warms my heart so much to know that such wonderful families are out there, and I am lucky enough to occasionally cross paths with them in my particular line of work. Also, shoutout to this awesome Dad as well! This sweet father is one of the most involved and enthusiastic Dads I’ve ever photographed. I’ve photographed lots of great Dads but he definitely deserves a special mention. And this family is so incredibly close and loving with each other, it’s clearly evident in their photos. I am so excited for their two beautiful young daughters to grow up and see where their beautiful paths take them.
